| Take your time | Errors introduced by a hasty design will consume 20-200 times more resources when corrected in a late state of a project. |
| Less is more | The smallest solution to a problem is the best, but the hardest to find. |
| Leave "Best Practices" | Dare to leave "Best Practices". They will never lead to any better than average. |
| Use Tools | Use tools for all tasks that can be done automatically. Save your brain for the less stupid work. If the tools you need don't exist consider building your own ones. |

| Think | Too much talking. IT is not entertainment. Use your brain not your mouth. |
| Reflect | When finished with a piece of work, think about it again. Could it be done better? |
| Accept mistakes | Don't be afraid to make mistakes. We are human. This is the way we learn. |
| Be curious | Innovation is driven by ideas. And ideas are born from curiosity. |
| Get skilled not rich | Money is nothing compared to ideas. |
